Thousands of Kentuckians will soon flood the streets of Nashville for the SEC tournament. We’re creating a welcoming Nashville-Kentucky home, where visitors can discover the music they love and cheer on their hometown heroes.

Vision: To create an annual platform that highlights Kentucky's musical talent in the heart of the Music Capital of the World.

Mission: To showcase rising and established Kentucky musicians, highlighting the incredible talent emerging from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

2019 Recap: The inaugural event at Marathon Music Works on March 15, 2019, featured artists like Tyler Booth, Dustin Collins, and Senora May, alongside many others. Sponsored by brands like Ale-8-One and Kentucky Country Music, the event attracted 300 attendees, with artists gaining thousands of new followers and streams. Our marketing efforts included radio ads on Kentucky Sports Radio 630-AM WLAP, reaching nearly 16,000 listeners. Over $300 was raised for CreatiVets.

2020 Event: Bigger and better, the 2nd Annual Kentucky Takeover was set to take place at Nashville Underground from March 14, 2020. Right on Nashville's Historic Broadway during the SEC Tournament. Although the 2020 Kentucky Takeover didn't go as planned due to the SEC tournament cancellation and the COVID pandemic, resulting in half of the talent roster choosing to stay home, we are excited to announce its return in 2025!

We hope to transform Lower Broadway into a vibrant block party for an estimated +50,000 people. The SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament generated an economic impact of over 20 million and regularly draws over 200,000 fans. 2025 event promises to be even more exciting, offering music, sports, and camaraderie in one unforgettable celebration.
